Our History
FUNTAVID was founded in 2016 during the General Assembly of Associates in Bucaramanga, in response to the growing need for mental health care in Colombia. A group of professionals committed to the emotional and psychological well-being of the community joined together to create a rural rehabilitation center that would offer high-quality treatment and humane care.
Since its inception, FUNTAVID has worked to promote mental health awareness, tailoring its programs to the individual needs of each patient. We have served hundreds of men and women facing challenges such as drug addiction, alcoholism, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other mental and emotional disorders, supporting them throughout their recovery process with warmth, respect, and professionalism.
Over time, we also expanded our services to include senior care, consolidating our position as a comprehensive institution offering rehabilitation, psychological support, and geriatric care in a safe, welcoming, and rural setting. Today, we continue to grow with the same commitment: to transform lives, restore hope, and build a healthier future for each person we serve.
